Livelihood Promotion

SVSS nurtures grassroots economic resilience by equipping marginalized individuals, particularly women, with market-relevant skills and pathways to entrepreneurship.

Vocational Training:

Practical instruction in trades such as tailoring, beauty services, and handicrafts, designed for home-based or community-level enterprise. Training modules incorporate financial literacy and soft skills to prepare participants for self-employment.

Microfinance & SHG Capacity Building

Facilitation of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) with a focus on savings mobilization, credit access, and group-based enterprises. Capacity-building includes training on bookkeeping, internal lending, and linkage with financial institutions and government schemes.

Enterprise Linkages

Post-training support through mentorship, branding guidance, and connections to local markets and institutional buyers. SVSS also assists women and youth entrepreneurs in navigating applications for state and central government livelihood grants.

Art and Craft Promotion

The NGO promotes Mithilanchal’s rich art and craft heritage, including Madhubani painting, Sujani embroidery, and Sikki grass craft. Through artisan training, market linkage, youth engagement, and cultural documentation, it empowers rural creators and preserves traditional techniques. The initiative enhances livelihoods while fostering pride in regional identity and sustainability.
