Health and Wellbeing
SVSS adopts a comprehensive, community-rooted approach to strengthen public health systems and bridge critical service delivery gaps in underserved geographies. Its programs are designed to prioritize preventive health, early detection, and equitable healthcare access through a mix of field-based outreach, participatory awareness generation, and strategic referral linkages.

RMNCH+A
Outreach
These flagship camps provide free multi-diagnostic health screenings in rural, urban, and peri-urban areas. Participants undergo checks for blood pressure, sugar, oxygen levels, pulse, weight, and BMI, with onsite counseling by qualified professionals. At-risk individuals are referred for follow-up care. The camps also deliver health education on vector-borne diseases, seasonal infections, nutrition, hygiene, and local health challenges, combining clinical services with preventive awareness.

Eye Health
Interventions
SVSS conducts vision screening camps for vulnerable age groups, notably schoolchildren and the elderly. In partnership with optometrists and referral hospitals, the camps provide free spectacles, prescriptions, and referrals for cataract surgery and other ocular interventions. Sessions on eye hygiene and routine eye care are integrated into these engagements.

Communicable Disease Control
In collaboration with local health departments, SVSS participates in awareness drives and referral initiatives under programs like National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP) for tuberculosis control. These efforts emphasize early detection, treatment adherence, and the reduction of stigma associated with communicable diseases.

Blood Donation Drives
SVSS conducts voluntary blood donation drives with blood banks and the Red Cross to ensure emergency supplies and raise awareness. Youth and first-time donors are encouraged, with medical screening, certificates, and follow-up support to promote a lasting culture of giving.

HECC
SVSS conducts antenatal check-ups, anemia screening, adolescent reproductive health sessions, and maternal care referrals to reduce maternal and child morbidity. With support from peer educators and ASHAs, these programs promote safe motherhood, informed adolescent choices, and sustained community follow-up

NCD Awareness
Recognizing the rising burden of lifestyle-related ailments, SVSS holds structured group sessions and individual screenings focusing on hypertension, diabetes, cancer awareness, and risk-reduction behaviors. Informational materials and health talks highlight the importance of diet, physical activity, and regular checkups.
